Terms & Conditions

Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Salento website at salento.com (the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and our Privacy Policy. Salento is operated by Casa Camilla, Via G.A Santoro 5, 73040 Specchia, Italy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site. Salento reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Your continued use of the Site following any modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Use of the Site
You may use the Site solely for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to use the Site in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it, or interfere with any other party’s use of the Site. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site or any system or network connected to it. The content on this Site is for general information only and is subject to change without notice.
How Salento Works
Salento is an independent villa curator and introduction service. We search Salento for homes worth staying in, share what we know about them, and connect you directly with the owner or their representative. Salento does not own, manage, or operate any of the properties featured on the Site, and does not act as a travel agency, tour operator, or booking platform. Guests book and pay directly with the owner. Rates, availability, deposits, house rules, cancellation terms, and rental agreements are set by the owner and agreed between the owner and the guest; Salento is not a party to those agreements. Where an introduction leads to a booking, Salento may receive a commission from the owner. Commission arrangements have no effect on the rate quoted to you, you never pay Salento a fee to send a request or to book, and properties are included on the basis of Salento’s own selection.
Bookings & Payment
Any booking, rental agreement, and payment is made directly between you and the villa owner (or their representative) and is governed by the owner’s own terms. Salento is not a party to that agreement, does not take bookings, and does not collect, hold, or process any deposit, balance, or other payment for your stay, and does not guarantee availability, pricing, or the condition of any property. The deposit, the payment schedule, and what a confirmed booking requires are set by the owner and confirmed with you directly. Availability and prices shown on the Site are provided in good faith and are confirmed by the owner at the time of booking.
Cancellations & Refunds
Because your booking and payment are made directly with the villa owner, any cancellation, refund, or change of dates is governed by the owner’s own terms, agreed with you at the time of booking. Salento does not hold your funds and cannot issue refunds. We are glad to help you reach the owner if your plans change, but the outcome rests with their policy. We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance that includes cancellation cover.
Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Salento or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or otherwise exploit any content from this Site without our prior written consent. Limited personal, non-commercial use is permitted provided that all copyright and other proprietary notices are retained.
Disclaimers
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Salento does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Villa descriptions, photographs, and availability information are provided in good faith but are subject to change and are confirmed by the owner at the time of booking. Salento accepts no liability for any inaccuracy in villa listings, nor for the condition, availability, or conduct of any villa, owner, or third party you are introduced to. Your stay is a matter between you and the owner.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Salento shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, this Site or our introduction service. As Salento is not a party to your booking and receives no payment from you, we are not liable for the rental agreement, your stay, or any act or omission of a villa owner or other third party. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence.
Governing Law
Nothing in these terms removes the mandatory consumer protections or rights available to you under applicable law.
